Since the Jays are the only thing I like out of Toronto, I have dedicated this thread to Jays Talk.
Nobody has really been talking about the Jays here lately. They have been playing AMAZING as of late. Nice to see Burnett back from his injury finally and chalking up his first win as a Jay. Currently on a four game win streak. Jays are poised to take a shot at the Division Title this year. Now have three solid starters in Halliday, Burnett and Lily. Good performances by thier rookie Janssen, he pitched a Gem last night vs. the Phillies.
This might be the year?

Hey! I am in Toronto LOL
I may not be much of a Baseball fan, but a cousin of mine is coming to visit in a few weeks and is a HUGE Baseball fan. So I expect I'll be seeing some Jays games, and learning a lot more about Baseball then I am sure I really want to LOL

HA! The only good thing about the Leafs is Jeff O'Neil, and they sucked the life out of him.
Anyway...back on topic.
Jays had a tough loss today. Burnett wasn't at his best. Based on his last performance I thought for sure the Jays were gonna win thier sixth in a row and get their second series sweep in a row. But the Philly bats actually came to life and with Johnson playing Centre field, he had a couple get over him that I am sure that Wells would of had.
Sadly, the damn Red Sox have now won 15 in a ROW! Lousy bastards. :soap:

And then Texas bats come alive and thump the Jays 6-1

The Jays have been sorta inconsistent this season. They are playing 8-9 games over 500 ball which is good but cant seem to run a streak like Boston or the Yanks seem to do all the time.

They hit 10 games over the other day, but you're right. It all comes down to starting pitching. Burnett was lights out last week, but got completely lit up vs. Philly the other day. We need everyone to get more consistent. The offense will take care of itself, but the piching needs help.

I honestly thought that Hillenbrand and Hinske would both be gone by now.

I honestly thought that Hillenbrand and Hinske would both be gone by now. Well I guess someone musta read this post and then traded Hillenbrand...lol. Whats going on with the Jays? Win 3 vs Yanks and then lose 3 of 4 against the Mariners? Inconsistency will end up costing them.
