John McDonald is a fantastic SS, the Jays need quality pitching and a clutch hitter. IMO the pitching problem is the middle relief guys. How many times did they blow a lead after a starter got them to the 5-7th inning? Lots. I also agree that we need a clutch home run hitter. Since Delgado left we really havnt had one. I dont know who is available as free agents this off season but I am sure that JP will try to land someone with a solid bat.

Ok..Thomas, Zaun and Stairs.
Missed out on the 2 pitchers they wanted ..Lilly and Meche.
Now sounds like they may go the trade route to get another quality pitcher and the name that pops up in rumors is Wells.

I dont put blame on JP. Last year he got everything he wanted, this year no dice.
There is still Suppan available but dont know if he is worth the cash.
MLB is getting retarded with the salaries. Both Pettite and Bonds signed 1 year deals today at 16 million. Thats fucking insane.

I heard that they offered up Wells to the Mets for a bundle of pitchers.

why would the Mets need more outfielders. Baseball's salaries are just disgusting.

Baseball's salaries are disgusting. I hope they sign Wells, becuase he's the best player they have, outside of Halliday. I thinks since the loss of Lilly, they should go after Zito. He's got a quality arm and is a proven starter. Easily fill the mediocre hole that Lilly left.

Lilly was waht? 15-13 last year...which I believe was his best evere record. 10 mil for 15 wins??? WTF?

yeah and the only reason he won 15 is because of the Jays offense. Baseball salaries are flat out disgusting, makes not even want to watch.
