I was present at the 13-4 victory over the Red Sox today. I maintain that Baseball is more entertaining live.

Think the Jays can finish ahead of Boston? Probably not as they lost today and have 2 more in Detroit and then 3 in New York while Boston beat Tampa Bay at home today and have another game and then 3 at home against Baltimore.

They were syaing that the Jays payroll could be upped to as high as 125 Million next year. Thats almost 50 Million higher than this years. Hmmmm maybe they finally want to compete with the Yanks?

Maybe if they can get 4+ million in attendance, it might be worth it.

Well, I think JP proved that he can get the right guys there with a higher payroll. He needs more cash to be able to keep Vernon Wells (if he even wants to stay) and if not, he will need to dip into the free agent market again. The new guys this year paid off HUGE dividends, Glauss, Overbay and Ryan were all GOLD. It took a while, but Mr. Burnett finally came around and put together 6-7 wins in a row.
There is a chance that they may finish in 2nd. It's a small chance. But a chance none the less.

Mr. Rogers can buy anything.
Pretty soon Toronto will be renamed "Mr. Roger's Neighbourhood" and it'd won't be a beautiful day.

The Jays need to keep Molina and Overbay, those two have been great for this team. I htink the whole Hillenbrand situation ruined any momentum this team had. They wee playing awesome off the hop. This team looks set to finish 2nd in the AL, i think that next year this team will really challenge with a higher payroll. The jays are missing a guy like David Ortiz, ive always felt that the Jays should try and Pickup Frank Thomas from Oakland. He has a David Ortiz sort of look to him, he would fit nicely in the lineup after Wells and Glaus. Burnett was a complete waste . . . i say deal him if he doesnt have 10 wins by the halfway mark next season.

Molina wont be staying in TO. He was bitching about playing time as it was this season. It is MLB however and anything can happen.

I'd take a guy like Zaun over Molina anyway. Molina is the slowest POS on the bases. Unless he hits it over the fence, he can't make it to first base.
Overbay needs to stay. Glauss needs to stay. They NEED to find a way to keep Wells. Burnett has been pitching MUCH better as of late. The big reason for sucking at the beggining of the year was they kept starting Josh Towers. Even after losing TEN STARTS IN A ROW, they kept starting him. Stupid stupid stupid.

At this point, I am not sure that they could pry him away from the A's.

John McDonald is a fantastic SS, the Jays need quality pitching and a clutch hitter.
