it'd be more helpful with a Fall tournament but then I wonder if the European leagues would start complaining. I wonder if that's why those lower level tournaments are held at the same time. As well, why would those international teams be missing players from one year to the next? Unless there's a lot of turnover or retirements there should still be basically the same personnel. Age. Most teams that win the "B" Tournament to move up, win with a mostly 19 year old roster. When the next season rolls around, they are all too old for the World Juniors. You're right, Brae. I was caught thinking of the men's world championships teams.

Gotta be lucky to be good and we got very lucky that Russian player shot for the empty net instead of skating up ice.....cause he had all the room in the world.

Like I said in an earlier post...if Canada played the way they did vs USA we would be in trouble. They should NOT have won. Plain and simple the did not deserve this game and are extremely lucky that the Russian player made a costly mistake.

I would like to watch it on my TV when I get home. I know I can watch it on the TSN website, but it's not the same as on the TV.

If you mean the semi-final, I think it may be shown overnight on TSN several times over the year. I don't think they edit the game but the intermissions may be hacked off.

I'll have to keep my eye out for a late night replay & stick a tape in the old VCR.
I just got home about 20 minutes ago, and have to go to work tonight (I originally had tonight off too, but they need someone badly). I'll be a walking zombie, but it's well worth it!
Only thing that I have been to that comes CLOSE to last night, was the 2005 Memorial Cup final. 10,000 people sounding like 20,000. Last night it was 20,000 sounding like 60,000! Last year's Canada(Ontario)/USA Under17 final was pretty special too.
Quite the tournament. Looking forward to Buffalo in a few years!!

You'll probably miss this reply but there's a replay this morning (Wednesday) at 3:30 ET. I'll keep an eye out for you on when the next showing is.
Sadly, the power went out here and the game didn't start recording until 6:02 (it started here at 5:30). So I deleted it and will tape tonight's showing. Not sure how much of the game will be cut off. But I did record the final half-hour (from 8 to 8:30) which has the last 30 seconds of the game and the medal ceremony.

I'm actually looking for the Semi-Final game vs. Russia. My Dad taped the Gold Medal Game (he does every year). I expect it'll (Canada/Russia) be on the Classics channel durning their "Lead up to the World Juniors" in December.

I have that game recorded on DVR. If you want a copy burned on DVD, I could do that.
