(Edmonton) Edmonton Eskimo President and CEO Rick LeLacheur announced today that effective immediately Danny Maciocia has been relieved of his duties as the club’s General Manager and Director of Football Operations.
LeLacheur says, “In his eight years with our team, Danny has helped the Edmonton Eskimos win two Grey Cups. Our entire organization thanks Danny for his contributions and wish he and his family the best in the future.”
Maciocia was named General Manager and Director of Football Operations on November 27, 2008. He was Head Coach of the Eskimos from 2005 to 2008 and served as the Esks’ Offensive Coordinator from 2002 – 2004.
No replacement has been named for position.

DM was like MacT. He was fortunate to win the Grey Cup and hung around far too long because of that. We need more a CFL GM. This NFL defensive style is just crap.
