Like usual the media is going nuts and make a big deal out of things. Now they are stating the Canadian ladies went too far in celebrating. First they made a big deal of US Snowboarder Scotty Lago having pictures they considered risque kicked out of Vancouver. For those who don't know one picture of him with a girl fully clothed bitting his bronze medal and another picture of a fully clothed girl on her knees polishing his medal they considered looked like Felicio. The only thing I think was wrong there was some underage team members drinking in public.

There was one member that was underage in Vancouver (19 is the legal age there). I didn't notice if Poulin was shown drinking anything or not. But she's from Quebec, which has 18 as the minimum age.

Every one was thinking "HAHAHA thats awesome" until the committee released a statement of disapproval.

Yeah, and the IOC does nothing over Apolo Ohno's comments. I guess it's easier to accuse an official of deliberately throwing an event than to celebrate. And Ohno's remarks are embarassing not only to him but to the US Olympic team.

I agree about the Koreans. More so about their "fans" throwing death threats at the skating judge. I would've banned the entire Korean short track team over that.

Yeah death threats over the sporting event is sad and I was disappointed in Ohno for his comments. The DQ was coming back from the times he got away with stuff.

If he had just said he disagreed with the decision no one would've said anything. It'd be if Canada had lost on a call by an American ref (I don't know who was reffing) and then blamed the nationality of the ref. I know I'd be miffed at the ref personally and not where they're from. Not that I've done it as a fan. I was critical of Soviet refs who reffed games against the Oilers in exhibition games. But I have to see obvious bias. Most officials are honest and shouldn't be accused of throwing an event unless others can make that claim without prejudice.

Yeah I agree its not like that French judge that tried screw the Canadian pair out of the gold in figure skating. At least the IOC did the right thing and gave them their gold medals. I would have been better with Ohno if he just said I did not agree with the refs decision. That would have been classy.

it's sad... men celebrate like that all the time and it is not a big deal... and honestly shame on the media for releasing the pics... why not release the one of them at center with the gold medals? and I know Poulin is legal everywhere else... but when you are in BC you have to abide by the laws there... and yes Poulin was on the front page drinking.

He said the only reason he was disqualified was because the judge was Canadian and wanted Canadians to win medals.

CTV picked it up later that night and showed it several times afterwards. Can't find it online, though.
