When is this going to stop? This is beyond ridiculous now. Even with season long suspensions it's still happening... I don't even know what they could possibly do to stop it if that's not working.

They don't allow fighting in the Q. So stuff like this will just increase.

And Bettretard wants to take fighting out of the NHL. It's clearly working in the Q, why not try it here!

On a somewhat related note (I just don't feel like starting another thread about this bullshit) I'm just watching the news and they had a story about a kid who speared another (midget hockey) and the kid who got speared ended up staying in the hospital for 2 weeks because of all the damage the spear did to his bowels and pancreas. It's disgusting. What's worse, is that the spearer was just recently suspended for it. He's been charged for it. Now, I don't necessarily believe that on ice actions are to be disciplined by the law, but obviously nothing the leagues can do will stop this. I don't think there's many other options at this point because it's becoming more and more of a problem. Maybe if they know they can get charged for it then it might stop. www.calgaryherald.com/news/Teen+charged+with+hockey+assault/2525685/story.html

It's also time to start changing the equipment. These things will still happen, and people will still get hurt, but it will have a positive effect.

I honestly dont feel that the law should be brought into it. You want to play hockey then thats a risk you take. Noone asks for it and Im not condoning it, it is and probably always will be an ugly part of the game.

I don't think that the law should be brought in, but if it keeps happening and season+ long suspensions aren't preventing it from happening, what else can be done? It's just getting worse and worse.
