That's pretty brutal. Worse than that Liambis suspended for the season shit in my mind. That dude was doing the chicken harsh on the ice afterwards. The only other way to do that is chug a 26oz of whiskey straight in one swig.
So.....is the CHL gonna be lenient on a star player just like the NHL? Chris Simon usually got 20 more games than Chris Pronger for similar shit.

I read that he stopped breathing for about 30 seconds but I can't recall if that was in hospital or on the ice. It's hard to say if Tam will recover enough. He seems to have avoided being a vegetable or having amnesia. But he could have dizzyness and headaches for quite a while.

Tam was taken off the ice on a stretcher and RDS is reporting that he is in stable condition at a local hospital and may have suffered only a broken jaw and concussion. The "Sporting Zone" blog at radio station Quebec 800 reports that Tam is conscious and speaking, and that team trainer Philippe Fait feared the worse when the 18-year-old stopped breathing for 30 seconds.

That's got to be a huge suspension. If he puts shoulder into chest, I'm fine with it, but that was a deliberate elbow to the head. Absolutely brutal. This is the same game who elbowed Rodin in the Canada vs Sweden game. It's embarrasing that he captained a Canadian junior team.

What is with hockey players? There is one of Cormier's former team Canada teammates, can be seen on TSN.ca, stating that the suspension was to harsh. HOLY SHIT!!! REALLY!!!

I am not embarassed about him captaining team canada... what happens after his captaincy is different... I mean he showed signs of this in the tournament but still. I think the tough thing about determining suspension is the idea of suspending based on the severity of the injury and not the hit itself (this was a big argument with the bertuzzi moore incident) That being said the video shows intent from when he jumps over the board and goes right for him. These hits have no place in the game.Hopefully this isnt career ending and a lifelong issue tam has to deal with.
