The NHL has released its All-Star Ballot for the 2011-12 season and it features 127 players, including five from the game host Ottawa Senators.
Senators forwards Jason Spezza, Daniel Alfredsson and Milan Michalek as well as defencemen Sergei Gonchar and Erik Karlsson will be in the running to represent the home side at Scotiabank Place.
In their return to the NHL, the Winnipeg Jets have placed three players on the ballot as defenceman Dustin Byfuglien is joined by fellow rearguard Tobias Enstrom and forward Andrew Ladd.
The NHL's leader in goals and points, Phil Kessel, highlights five Toronto Maple Leafs who have found their way into the selections. He can be chosen alongside linemate Joffrey Lupul and defencemen Dion Phaneuf and John Michael-Liles. Goaltender James Reimer is also on the ballot.
The Montreal Canadiens have four players eligible, including Carey Price, P.K. Subban, Mike Cammmalleri, and Tomas Plekanec.
The defending Western Conference champion Vancouver Canucks also have five players featured including goaltender Roberto Luongo as well as both Daniel and Henrik Sedin, Alex Edler, and Ryan Kesler.
The Edmonton Oilers are represented by Nikolai Khabibulin, Ryan Whitney, Jordan Eberle, Taylor Hall, and Ryan Smyth, while Miikka Kiprusoff, Jay Bouwmeester, and Jarome Iginla were included from the Calgary Flames.
Despite having not yet appeared in a game, injured Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby is on the ballot amid questions about when he'll see his first action this season.
All three members of the Staal family are on the ballot with Marc, Jordan and Eric all vying for places on the Eastern Conference squad.
The Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks lead the league with six players each on the ballot.
Voting ends on January 4, with the top six vote-getters by position - three forwards, two defencemen and a goalie - earning starting spots for each conference.
All-Star weekend in Ottawa is scheduled for January 28-29.
