LOS ANGELES -- Veteran forward Ethan Moreau has agreed to a one-year, $600,000 contract with the Los Angeles Kings.
The club confirmed the deal Saturday, pending the completion of Moreau's physical on Monday.
Moreau has played parts of 15 NHL seasons with Chicago, Edmonton and Columbus. The former Oilers captain spent more than 10 years in Edmonton before joining the Blue Jackets last season, scoring six points in 37 games.
Moreau is a standout defensive forward who could ease the loss of Michal Handzus and Ryan Smyth while providing leadership for the Kings.

Well his 'leadership' would want to be better than what it was in the end at the Oilers.

I hope Captain Glass doesn't get hurt during the Physical. I guess the Kings want a liability on the ice by signing Chopper
