The Philadelphia Flyers have traded forward Darroll Powe to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Powe, 25, scored seven goals and 10 assists in 81 games for the Flyers last season. He added one assist in 11 playoff appearances.
The Saskatoon resident has played three NHL seasons after being signed as an undrafted free agent by Philadelphia in 2007.
The Flyers and general manager Paul Holmgren have been very active of late. They traded away captain Mike Richards and Jeff Carter last week, and received Brayden Schenn, Wayne Simmonds, and Jakub Voracek in return. Philadelphia signed goalie Ilya Bryzgalov, plus forwards Andreas Nodl and Tom Sestito on Monday, and now have traded away Powe.
