Evgeni Nabokov is headed to Russia's KHL.
The 34-year-old free-agent goalie confirmed to ESPN.com Wednesday he has signed a four-year deal with SKA St. Petersburg.
"It was an interesting decision, a hard decision for me, but I'm also excited right now," Nabokov said.
Nabokov was an unrestricted free agent. He earned $6 million this year in San Jose. The Sharks announced after the season that they were not going to bring him back.
Nabokov would not discuss financial details of his deal. Russian media reports peg the new deal at $6 million a season.

This is not surprising at all to me. Nabokov is a great regular season goalie...
