I could've done a GDT for the Canada game but I figured that most everyone would be busy doing other stuff.

Nothing on Google. I just wonder if the game was televised or not.

I guess their games are on the B2 network online. They also might be on a community channel locally. There's only 7 teams in the IHL so it's hard to say. The fact that I could only find 3 stories about the hit (2 from MLive and 1 from the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette) may mean that very few people will know about this. That might change later on, though, if any Canadian news feeds pick it up.

The International Hockey League (IHL) announced Tuesday the following suspension resulting from player actions during IHL Game #102, Muskegon @ Bloomington, on Tuesday, December 29th.
Bloomington left wing Mike Liambas has been suspended five (5) games for his actions during Tuesday’s game. The suspension is being issued under Rule 29 (Supplementary Discipline).

At least it's not an overreaction and that Liambas didn't get suspended for the rest of the season.

The Canada West Universities Athletic Association is investigating an on-ice incident involving a player who is no stranger to long-term suspensions.
University of British Columbia forward Michael Liambas — who was suspended for almost a full season by the Ontario Hockey League in 2009 — was given an automatic two-game ban Friday night for instigating a fight during a game against the University of Alberta.
Golden Bears forward Eric Hunter suffered a concussion and facial cuts after he was punched in the head and driven into the ice. Liambas also received a minor penalty, a five-minute major and game misconduct on the play.
