Lightning re-sign forward Ryan Craig to $1.575-million, two-year contract Canadian Press Jul 2, 2008, 11:58 AM EDT TAMPA, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed forward Ryan Craig to a US$1.575-million, two-year contract. The 26-year-old native of Abbotsford, B.C., was a restricted free agent. He will earn $775,000 next season and $800,000 in 2009-10. Craig missed 72 games last season with back and knee injuries. He had one goal and one assist in seven games. Craig has 30 goals and 27 assists in 127 NHL games. The Lightning also signed newly acquired defenceman Janne Niskala to a $600,000, one-year deal. The 26-year-old was acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday in exchange for a sixth-round draft choice in 2009.
