London Media is reporting that Gagner has been named to the team now. Can't find anything on TSN.ca, Sportsnet or HockeyCanada though.
Did see on TSN this morning, they are showing the 1st game on may 3rd.

Garon, Gagner will join Team Canada Three Oilers now on official roster Dan Barnes , edmontonjournal.com Published: Wednesday, April 23, 2008 EDMONTON - Oiler goalie Mathieu Garon and forward Sam Gagner have been added to the Team Canada roster for the World Hockey Championship next month. The official announcement will come from Hockey Canada at a Thursday press conference in Quebec City. Gagner has been named the so-called 14th forward who will play only in case of an injury, while Garon joins Carolina's Cam Ward and Columbus's Pascal LeClaire in a three-man fight for the crease. "Just to be invited and have another Team Canada experience is a great honour," said the 18-year-old Gagner, who wore the Maple Leaf in the World Junior Championship and the Super Series previously. "I have a lot of pride in my country." Gagner got the call from Team Canada GM Steve Yzerman a couple of days ago. "I didn't really know what to expect (Yzerman to say.) I didn't know if he was going to say I was in the mix or what. When he told me, it was obviously pretty exciting for me." Gagner and Garon will join Oiler teammate Steve Staios, who is one of only three defencemen named to the Team Canada roster so far. Andrew Cogliano was also in the mix but didn't make the cut. Oilers Tom Gilbert and Matt Greene have been named to Team USA, while Robert Nilsson (Sweden), Ladislav Smid (Czech Republic), Joni Pitkanen (Finland) and Denis Grebeshkov (Russia) are still vying for spots. Canada is the defending champion for the 16-team tournament, which goes from May 2 to 18 in Halifax and Quebec City. www.canada.com/edmontonjournal/news/sports/oilers/story.html?id=fc16bf16-6a81-4fd7-bd0b-f24cde659437&k=66204

Nice that Garon and Gagner are both going. I guess from the story they're going to announce this on Thursday, probably along with whoever else.

I'll have to see what they look like in a game situation but, already, they look better than the RBK ones.

It's unusual to see all of Canada's game during the afternoon, even though they're all being played in Canada. But it just means those of us out here will have to watch it online at work.
It would be nice if all the games were online, as the night games will be up against the playoffs.

I watched last night's Exhibition game a bit from work. The Red jerseys looked sharp in play.

Canada's 1st game is today at 3:20 eastern. Kind of odd seeing afternoon games being played here.

Outside of Anze Kopitar, I don't know if there was any other recognizable name of the Slovenian roster. But, that 5-1 score flattered the Slovenians. I think the shots were 65-21 in favor of Canada. And I couldn't help hearing that distinctive disco post-game ceremony.
