No Shit. In front of the home crowd too. If they could manage to pull off the same thing they did in Calgary, whipping them 6-1, that would be fucking awesome.

3-1 victory was awesome. I just pissed about that hit on Hall

Prett good game. The Oilers pretty much dominated the entire game except for one mental lapse that led to the Flames only goal. They were hitting, forechecking, and not giving them any room. Smid/Petry did an awesome job shutting down Jeronimo Iginla too.
Losing Hall sucks though. He's likely done for the season no matter what they say.
Interesting stat on Nick Schultz: They said on the broadcast he only had 3 points with the Wild this season, and now has 5 more since the trade deadline. I checked NHL.com though and he only has 7 points. So he either only had 2 points coming here, or only has 4 instead of 5 for the ten games he's been here.

Well fairly good game until the choke job at then end, but fortunately that's still a win since Phoenix still gets more points than Cowgary. Wow has Hemmer changed. Sucked for most of the season but looks like the old Hemmer out there lately. Too bad Horcoff will never make that transformation.
The NHL sucks still though. Things are never gonna change until there is consistent reffing/penalties/suspensions. Eberle gets crushed face first behind the net and we get a penalty out of it. The hit on Hall the other night, our guy leaves the game, and we get a penalty for our troubles, although that was a clean hit. Tonight's hit on Ebs was a classic hitting from behind boarding call. Glad he got up and later scored a goal.

Sadly, I didn't see the game. Noticed they had a 2-0 lead going into the third and gassed it.
Saw the Eberle hit and couldn't believe there wasn't a call on it.

Oouu!! Daniel San wax off and hits Keith early in the game high with an elbow, but when Keith hits Danielle back it's dirty? This is what I wish the Oilers would do, clean or not, nobody fuckin' cares, not even Brendan "my job is a complete joke and facad" Shanahan. hit their stars back with the same dirty hit. The ref's obviously aren't calling it. This is exactly why the NHL is a joke. I am praying Danielle has a concussion and never plays again, only because Vancouver fans have proven themselves to be total PIECES OF SHIT. But he was innocent.....get fuckin real..... SARICH!! Out with a concussion!! Who the fuck isn't cheering that on since he hit Hall. Karma is a bitch. You get what you give and I have no problem with that.

VandeVelde recalled.
Just looking at the standings to have a laugh at Calgary and noticed how close we are to other teams too.
2 points back of Montreal and NYI 3 points back of Minny 4 points back of Anaheim, Toronto, Carolina, Tampa Bay
Lots of other teams sucking bad this year that are right with us.

Well it didn't start off very pretty, but ended up being a good game, despite the lop sided penalties in the third. Nice to see the scoring spread around too. Two goals from the 4th line, one being VandeVelde's first career NHL goal. Theo Peckham out with a concussion though.
So that win also moves us from 2nd last place into 5th last place, as we now have more wins for the tie-breaker at 71 points with Montreal/NYI.
Yes, that's correct. The Oilers broke the 70 point mark.

Oops, make that 4th last. We're ahead of CBJ, and tied with MTL/NYI, but have more wins.

Well of all games to be "coached" to lose thankfully it was this one.
Another thing wrong with the NHL, Stars-Coyotes-Sharks all two points from first in division to 8-9th. That guaranteed playoff birth to division leader needs to go. Base it on points please..........butt then......Buttmens league owned and least penalized temam in the NHL might not make the playoffs.......no wonder it's a crooked joke. The league owns a fuckin' team.

Haha....btw...I don't think it's a coincidence that Horcoff is back in the line up and we lose. Go to any neighborhood rink and watch peewee for free. They have WAY more skill than Dorcoff.

Pretty disorganized looking effort against the Kings. Losing our top 2 dmen didn't help I guess.
Just have to laugh at the Paajarvi debacle too. This team is run by boobs.
